TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE INNOVATIONS MENTORING PROGRAM

§ 1
Introductory information
The organiser of the mentoring program (hereinafter referred to as the "Mentoring Program" or the "Program") is the Innovations Hub Foundation with its registered office at ul. Okrąg 8/10 m.44, 00-407 Warsaw, NIP: 7011045286, KRS: 0000912844 - hereinafter referred to as the "Organiser".
The Program is organised in cooperation with the School's SKN Business Scientific Club at the Warsaw School of Economics.
Participation in the Program is voluntary and unpaid.
Participation in the Program implies acceptance of these Rules.
These Regulations are binding for the Organiser and the Participants. It regulates the terms and conditions of participation in the Program, as well as the rights and obligations of the Organiser and the Participants in the Program.
The Program is a nationwide mentoring programme aimed at students and high school adults to develop an innovative solution of an interdisciplinary nature, combining medicine, business, ecology, sustainability and modern technology.
The Program is financed from the Organiser's own funds and funds raised from partners and sponsors.

The organisation of the Mentoring Program is intended to serve the following purposes:
shaping entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviour among young people,
developing skills and enabling people to learn about tools to support knowledge and skills transfer in different industries,
developing young people's ability to think analytically and synthetically, to plan and implement projects, to solve problems creatively, to communicate effectively, to search for and use information in practice and, on the basis of this information, to make decisions, to work as part of a team, to negotiate and to present their project in order to obtain funding,
creating a positive business climate,
gaining interdisciplinary knowledge in the fields of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, ecology, modern technology, finance, psychology, human resource management and the ability to analyse and interpret data providing the basis for effective business and asset management in the future.
§2 Rules of participation in the Program
Participants in the Program (hereafter referred to as "Participant") may be adults, under the age of 28, who at the time of registration hold the status of student (including doctoral studies), graduate (up to one year after graduation) or are post-primary school students.
In order to participate in the Program, the Participant should, no later than 26 February 2023, complete the registration form available through the Website, and also indicate which category - Green Innovations Challenge or MedBiz Innovations Programme - it wishes to participate in.
Registration of teams for the Program takes place in accordance with the schedule given on the Website.
Teams of four people can participate in the Program.
It is possible for incomplete teams (two or three persons), as well as individual Participants, to apply for the Program.
If individual Participants apply for the Program, the Organiser guarantees the possibility of combining them into teams.
In special cases, at the request of Participants, the Organiser may allow teams of less than four people to participate in the Program.
Similarly, in special cases, at the request of the Participants, the Organiser may allow teams of five to participate in the Program.
§3 Rights and obligations of the organiser
The tasks of the Organiser are in particular:
the organisation of the Program in accordance with the provisions of these Rules,
to provide the logistics and financial resources necessary to implement the Program, excluding covering any travel, accommodation and food costs of the Participants,
ensuring proper communication with Program participants and the academic community,
conducting promotional activities to publicise the Green Innovations Challenge and MedBiz Innovations Programme.
overseeing the proper conduct of the Mentoring Program.
The Organiser undertakes to pay the cash prizes to the Winners in accordance with the provisions of §6.2 of the Regulations.
The organiser reserves the right to change the registration deadline for teams.
The organiser has the right to disqualify a team that violates the provisions of these Terms and Conditions..
In addition, the Organiser may disqualify a team in the event of a situation referred to in §5.9 of the Terms and Conditions.
In special cases, the Organiser has the right to advance more teams to the next round than the Terms and Conditions stipulate.
§4 Rights and obligations of Participants
The participant is obliged in particular to:
to familiarise themselves with the Terms and Conditions of the Program and to abide by them,
comply with any instructions given by the Organisers,
to provide, when applying, truthful personal data necessary for participation in the Mentoring Program,
inform the Organiser of any irregularities observed during the Mentoring Program.
The participant is entitled in particular to:
to be kept informed of all developments relating to the Program
access to the Programs’ training materials
appeal against the decision of the Organisers to advance to the second stage of the Program, in accordance with § 7 of these Rules
§5 Running of the Mentoring Program
The Program will run from 25 January 2023 to 30 June 2023 and will begin with the registration of participants and end with the final gala.
The Program is three-tiered and consists of:
first-level elimination,
second-stage elimination,
investors presentation
The results of each stage elimination are announced on the Program's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/InnovationsHubFoundation/ and on the Website
Participants apply to the Program using the form
in ready-made teams,
in incomplete teams - in which case, in accordance with §2.6 of the Regulations, the Organiser presents the possibility of completing the team.
Participants enter the first stage elimination in teams formed in accordance with the provisions of §2 of the Terms and Conditions.
During the first stage elimination, Participants take part in training sessions, led by invited experts and partners, to help them prepare their Competition Work.
As part of the first stage elimination, Participants are required to send the Organisers, by the specified deadline, a document in the form of a PDF file of no more than two pages, of any graphic design, which contains a description and presentation of an idea for an innovative solution related to medicine, ecology, new technologies and business, hereinafter referred to as the "Competition Work".
The Competition Work should be sent to the following email address: praca.konkursowa@innovationshub.pl, together with the identification of the team and its members.
In the event that Participants fail to deliver the Competition Work by the deadline, the team is subject to disqualification and ends its participation in the Program.
"Evaluation Committee" is composed of representatives of the Organiser and external experts who will be invited by the Organiser to evaluate the Entrants’ works.
An Evaluation Committee will evaluate the Competition Work and then approximately 20 teams to be qualified for the second stage elimination.
After verifying the submitted Competition Works and learning the verdict of the Evaluation Committee, the Organiser announces to the public the results of the first-stage preliminaries, in accordance with the method specified in §5.3 of the Regulations.
Teams that have qualified for the second stage of the Program will be assigned a person to support the team during the next stage of the Program, an expert in the field of business, MedTech or GreenTech hereinafter referred to as "Mentor".
The Mentor is required to conduct a minimum of two meetings in any format with the assigned team, during which the team is expected to develop their idea and create a business model. The teams' work is to result in a business plan for the idea and an investor presentation.
During the second-stage preliminaries, the Organiser provides Participants with the opportunity to participate in specialised training to facilitate the project.
The evaluation of the projects prepared by the teams in the second stage elimination will be carried out by the Evaluation Committee, as defined in §6 of the Regulations - Awards.
The title of Finalist is awarded to teams who prepare a complete business plan and give a presentation to the Evaluation Committee.
The Evaluation Committee awards the title of Laureate to the 5 teams participating in the second stage of the Program which, in the opinion of this Committee, presented the best projects and qualified for the stage of investor presentations.
Out of the 5 teams referred to in §5.18 of the Regulations, the Evaluation Committee will select one team to be named the Winner of the Program.
The list of winners of the Green Innovations Challenge and MedBiz Innovations Programis published on the Website and on the Program’s page on Facebook in accordance with the method set out in §5.3 of the Terms and Conditions.
At the end of the project, a final gala will be held, during which the Winner of the Program will be selected and the Laureates will be awarded their titles and prizes.
The form of the final gala will depend on the Organiser's capabilities. However, regardless of them, it will take place either physically or remotely, after the selection of the Laureates and the Winner of the Program, but no later than 30 June 2023.
Records of the Green Innovations Challenge and MedBiz Innovations Program preliminaries are kept by the Organiser.
§6 Awards
The following terms are used to classify the performance of Green Innovations Challenge and MedBiz Innovations Program participants:
"Winners" - the team whose work the Evaluation Committee considers to be the best among the projects submitted
"Laureats" - The top five teams of the second stage elimination.
"Finalists" - Teams participating in the second stage qualifiers who prepare a complete business plan and make a presentation to the Evaluation Committee.
"Final participants" - the other teams taking part in the second stage qualifiers.
The members of the first-place team will individually receive cash prizes, of an equal amount, from a pool of at least PLN 6000 including the 10% tax paid by the Organiser in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Prizes will be paid on the basis of statements containing the individual bank account number submitted individually by each Participant.
The Organiser reserves the right to increase the prize pool or to award prizes to other Winners or Finalists as and when it has the funds to do so.
§7 Appeal procedure
Participants have the right to appeal against the decision of the Evaluation Committee regarding the assessment of the submitted work.
Appeals will be considered by the Organiser.
Written appeals must be sent by e-mail to: legal@innovationshub.pl within 3 days of the announcement of the results.
Timely appeals received will be considered up to 3 days from the date of receipt of the appeal.
Decisions taken on appeal are final.
§8 Processing of personal data
By applying to participate in the Program, each Participant confirms that he/she is familiar with the content of these Terms and Conditions and undertakes to comply with them.
As a condition of joining the Program, the adult participant agrees to the processing of his/her personal data by the Organiser and the Program partners. At the same time, the participant acknowledges that:
the administrator of the personal data processed as part of the Program is the Innovations Hub Foundation with its seat at ul. Okrąg 8/10 m.44, 00-407 Warsaw, NIP: 7011045286, KRS: 0000912844, the personal data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of carrying out and documenting the Green Innovations Challenge and MedBiz Innovations Program, publishing the results of the individual stages of the Green Innovations Challenge and MedBiz Innovations Program preliminaries (including their announcement in the media, on the Internet, on the Organiser website) and for the purpose of necessary reporting on the basis of the consent given by the participant,
Personal data may be made available to other entities for the sole purpose of conducting and documenting the Program, publishing the results of the preliminaries of the various stages of the Green Innovations Challenge and MedBiz Innovations Program (including announcing them in the media, on the Internet, on the Organiser website), for the purposes of necessary reporting,
The provision of data is voluntary, although the refusal to provide such data is tantamount to not being able to participate in the programme,
The Participant has the right to access and correct their data,
The Participant has the right to object to further processing and, where consent has been given, to withdraw it. Exercising the right to withdraw consent does not affect processing that has taken place up to the point of withdrawal of consent,
The Participant has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
The Participant has the right to withdraw his or her consent to the processing of personal data; the withdrawal of such consent shall take effect from the moment of receipt of the statement of withdrawal of consent.
§9
FINAL PROVISIONS
All disputes and claims related to the Program will be settled by the Common Court with jurisdiction over the Innovations Hub Foundation’s registered office
The Rules and Regulations may be amended by announcing the new content on the Website, provided that the Organiser informs all Participants in advance of the changes.
Matters not covered by the Rules of Procedure shall be governed by generally applicable law.
The Regulations shall enter into force on the date of commencement of the Program.
